The other reviewer is rather harsh I think. The book has good information and is almost compact enough to fit in a pocket.

Freshwater Fish of the Carolinas is useful for starting fires, making recycled paper and making trendy handbags. All of the book in this series have the same material copy and pasted to make a diferent state edition, I highly unrecommend these books.
